Yes, the links are removable and has the same mechanics just like the links on a watch band.
You can use any watch tools to do that.

If it's something that your are looking for that'll not tarnish, tungsten is the perfect candidate.
Tungsten will not tarnish and keeps its shine over time.
Tungsten is known to be very scartch resistant.

The bracelet is unisex, and it's more of a perssonal taste and style.
With that said, the bracelet does have a 10mm width, so it's quite white and heavy.
So from that perspective, we'd suggest it's more of a man's bracelet.
